Yes. We have integrated with single sign on providers, HR information systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoom, Google Drive, Kobo Collect, DHIS2 and healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR. Specific integrations are scoped once your systems and available APIs are confirmed.

Yes. We build offline content synchronisation, mobile first responsive design and low bandwidth optimisation into platforms serving field based and rural users, including learning platforms reaching members across connectivity limited regions.

What technology do you build on?

We match the stack to the job. Websites are typically built on WordPress or Drupal with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap; learning platforms on Moodle with MySQL or PostgreSQL and SCORM or xAPI compliance where required; custom systems on React, Next.js, Node.js, .NET, Python and PostgreSQL; and mobile applications on React Native.

Which cloud provider do you use, and can we choose our own?

AWS is our default platform, using EC2, RDS, S3 and CloudFront. We have also delivered on Azure and DigitalOcean based on client preference or existing infrastructure, and are happy to align with the cloud provider your organisation already uses.

What does your implementation process look like?

Our standard approach follows five stages: needs assessment and requirements gathering, development and configuration, testing and quality assurance, deployment and training, and, where scoped, ongoing support and maintenance.

Do you follow Agile, waterfall or another methodology?

We adapt the methodology to the project. Agile and iterative delivery, run in sprints with regular demos, suits larger or evolving platform work, while phased delivery is more common for fixed scope builds such as websites and learning platforms.

Timelines depend on scope and complexity. Website revamps typically take 1 to 6 weeks, learning platform builds 6 to 17 weeks and larger custom software platforms 18 to 26 weeks.

Who will be on our project team?

Project teams typically include a project manager, a lead or principal engineer, frontend and backend developers, a QA tester and, for cloud intensive builds, a cloud architect. Your specific named team is confirmed at project kickoff.

We hold regular check ins, usually weekly, along with sprint meetings throughout delivery. For larger staff augmentation or workforce management engagements we use a formal RACI matrix to set out who is responsible, accountable, consulted and informed at each stage.

Yes. Administrator and end user training sessions and training materials are standard deliverables, and larger builds also include video tutorials and standard operating procedures.

Under staff augmentation, Adept sources and places talent into your team while your organisation retains oversight of day to day performance and quality. Under workforce management, Adept fully manages the team, environment and delivery outcomes on your behalf.

What is your standard payment structure?

We typically work on a milestone basis: a commitment fee of 25 to 40 per cent before work begins, a further 30 to 45 per cent at design or development approval, and the remaining balance of around 30 per cent on successful completion and handover. Exact terms are agreed per project.

What currency do you quote in, and are prices inclusive of VAT?

We quote in the currency most relevant to your organisation: Kenyan Shillings for domestic clients, US Dollars for international or staff augmentation engagements and Euros for donor funded programmes. Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

What if we need features beyond what was originally scoped?

Any additional features or scope beyond the agreed Terms of Reference are quoted separately, so your core budget and timeline stay predictable and unaffected by later additions.

What are your staff augmentation and workforce management rates?

Accepted Answer

Rates depend on role, seniority and delivery model. Under workforce management, hourly rates typically range from around $15 for junior roles to $57 and above for senior specialists. Under staff augmentation, monthly rates typically range from around $1,100 to $4,500 depending on specialism.

Do you handle formal RFP or tender processes?

Yes. For competitive tenders we prepare separate technical and financial submissions, provide standard compliance documentation including certificate of incorporation, tax compliance certificate, audited accounts and references, sign NDAs where required, and respond directly to the evaluation criteria set out in the RFP.

Yes. The included support window varies by project scope and commonly runs from three months to a year, covering issue resolution, maintenance and monitoring. Support beyond the included window can be arranged on an hourly or retainer basis.

Data and deliverables developed specifically for your organisation remain your property. Any pre existing tools, frameworks or components Adept brings to a project remain Adept's intellectual property, though your organisation is granted the rights needed to use the delivered solution.
